What You'll Need

We accept students from various backgrounds. Most participants join us between September 2025 and March 2026, though some arrive for shorter intensive sessions during summer months.

Academic Foundation

Basic understanding of business concepts helps, but we've taught complete beginners before. If you've taken intro economics or accounting, you're already ahead.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • English proficiency (conversational level)
  • Interest in financial decision-making

Documentation

Vietnamese visa requirements changed in early 2025. Most nationalities can get 45-day visa exemptions, which works for our shorter programs. Longer courses need student visas.

  • Valid passport (6+ months remaining)
  • Academic transcripts from previous studies
  • Travel insurance coverage

Financial Planning

Ha Long Bay offers lower living costs compared to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. Students usually spend 8-12 million VND monthly on housing and food. That's roughly 0-500 USD as of 2025 exchange rates.

  • Program tuition varies by length
  • Housing assistance available
  • Part-time work possible with proper permits

Support Systems That Actually Help

Moving to a new country for education isn't simple. We learned this after watching our first cohort struggle with apartment hunting and bank account setup in 2023. So we changed how we do things.

Now someone meets you at the airport. Not just for photos, but because getting a local SIM card and finding the right bus actually matters when you're tired from a 14-hour flight.

The administrative building on Trần Khánh Dư has staff who speak English, Mandarin, and Korean. They've helped students open bank accounts at Vietcombank, register temporary residence, and figure out the xe ôm motorcycle taxi system without getting overcharged.

Housing Coordination

We maintain relationships with landlords near campus who've rented to international students before. Prices range from 3-6 million VND monthly depending on whether you want a private studio or shared accommodation.

Language Bridge

Financial terminology gets complicated when you're learning it in your third language. Study groups pair Vietnamese and international students, which helps both sides practice and clarify concepts.

Cultural Context

Business customs here differ from Western practices. We run monthly sessions about workplace expectations, professional communication styles, and networking approaches common in Vietnamese companies.

Career Connections

Several graduates now work at firms throughout Quảng Ninh province. They come back occasionally to talk about interview processes and what employers actually look for in candidates.

Students Who Came Before You

These people graduated between late 2024 and early 2025. They're not celebrities, just former students who agreed to share their thoughts.

I picked this program because tuition was reasonable and I wanted to see Southeast Asia. Turned out the project analysis methods we covered applied directly to the startup I joined in Hanoi afterward. The NPV calculations we practiced helped me evaluate their expansion options realistically.

Living in Ha Long for six months changed how I think about financial decisions. The curriculum focused on practical scenarios rather than abstract theory. My classmates came from eight different countries, which made group discussions way more interesting than my undergrad experience back home.
